Glenfield Capital, a real estate investment company focused on income producing real estate, has appointed Andrew O’Brien as Director. Andrew’s appointment reflects growing opportunities and progression in the company’s long-range corporate strategy. Andrew’s responsibilities include underwriting, identifying acquisition opportunities and establishing new debt & equity relationships. Andrew brings a deep knowledge of and experience in valuation analytics.
Prior to Glenfield Capital, Andrew spent 9 years at Newmark Knight Frank originally as a financial analyst. After being promoted to Senior Financial Analyst, he assisted in expanding the firm’s investment transaction capabilities. He developed proprietary asset valuation analyses covering all sectors of real estate, including office, retail, hotel, multi-family, and development. Andrew was also responsible for executing investment sale and capital market transactions and providing support to owners and lenders of troubled real estate.
Andrew has analyzed and worked on transactions involving GE Capital, Lennar, Panasonic, Burger King (Headquarters), AirTran, Spanx (Headquarters), Travelport, and Allied Domecq/Allied Holdings. Andrew’s underwriting has exceeded $750 million.
Andrew holds a B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University, where he concentrated in Real Estate Finance with a minor in Economics.
