Glenfield Capital Receives Star Award

Glenfield Capital founder James P. Cate has received the 2016 Business Neighborhood Partnership Award, given by the United Peachtree Corners Civic Association at their annual Star Awards Dinner in October 2016.

Sherry Ferguson, President of the UPCCA, presented the award to Mr. Cate and expressed gratitude on behalf of the residents of Peachtree Corners for Glenfield Capital’s involvement. Mike Mason, Mayor of Peachtree Corners, also thanked Glenfield Capital and praised their efforts.

Glenfield Capital’s contributions to the city are quite extensive. Glenfield Capital has hosted the Peachtree Corners Arts Festival the last two years. In 2016, Glenfield Capital sponsored the Friday evening concert which had record breaking attendance. Glenfield Capital has been a supporter and promoter of the Norcross High School Foundation and the great work it is doing for school kids in the community. Additionally, Glenfield Capital continues to promote fundraising efforts for the Veterans Memorial, to be constructed at the new Town Center.

“This is a fantastic community, and we want to help make a difference. We will continue to bring attention to the community, to contribute to making it better and to work with the wonderful citizens of Peachtree Corners,” said Mr. Cate.

This award was presented to Mr. Cate for his work with the neighborhood to improve quality of life and to help with positive development in the community.  Over the last two years, Glenfield Capital has invested more than $53 million in Peachtree Corners properties and currently owns 8 buildings totaling 549,408 sf of office space in the city.
