Glenfield Capital Wins Building of the Year

Glenfield Capital’s 6525 The Corners, a prestigious Class A office building located within affluent Peachtree Corners, has won the 2017 BOMA Georgia The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award, followed by winning the Southern Region TOBY Award.

BOMA Georgia has recognized 6525 The Corners for the superior value that it is bringing to the market. Recent upgrades at the property, including state-of-the art sustainability features, best-in-class tenant experience, and Glenfield Capital’s hands on approach with tenants’ day-to-day needs, have helped contribute to its win.

“The Corners has experienced a full rebranding for the first time since its 1982 inception. Glenfield Capital executed a full renovation, making it into the ‘best building’ in Peachtree Corners,” said James Cate, Glenfield Capital’s Managing Principal.  The five-story, 97,888 square foot office building has gained several enhancements, ranging from a new fitness center equipped with WIFI connectivity to a technologically advanced conference center. According to Cate, improvements such as these contributed to The Corners having the most appealing employee work environment in the submarket. To continue with this momentum, renovations to the outdoor amenities are currently being planned.

BOMA Georgia has acknowledged that The Corners’ win was in part due to the contributions Glenfield Capital and The Corners have made to the community. These contributions range from sponsoring The Peachtree Corners Arts Festival to supporting various foundations such as the Peachtree Corners Veterans Monument Association, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation, and The Norcross High School (NHS) Foundation for Excellence.  Glenfield Capital and The Corners’ tenants have pledged over $10,000 to NHS in support of school facilities and After School Matters, a tutoring program for high-risk students.
